IEEE TUNISIA STEP is a Student Transition and Elevation Program. It is an event aiming to provide a dynamic program for facilitating the transition from being a student to entering the professional world. It supports recently graduated youth, bridging the gap between engineering student and professional engineer. it brings together all members, from recent university graduates to experienced professionals and entrepreneurs, the group presents a great diversity in what it has to offer. it provide a good networking opportunities between members and non-members from different technical and career backgrounds and help also the IEEE Young Professionals to becoming involved in IEEE, experience the community and learn more about the Institute.
We held a “Coffee Talk” event, on Saturday the 13th April at “Ecozone Coworking Space”, Sfax.
The main goal of this event is to introduce the Young Professional to attendees going through its activities, benefits and IEEE resources.
More than 25 attendees were impressed and excited to know more about being an IEEE Young Professional member and how to be it. Professionals who attended, shared their experiences and how their IEEE experience boost their careers and helps them to improve their personal skills. Non members who attended, were more curious about IEEE, how to be a member and get involved in our next activities. Student members who attended, showed motivation to stay in touch with us and to volunteer.

Thanks to its tremendous job last year (2012), it is with a great pleasure to announce that the IEEE GOLD Tunisia Affinity Group is one of the GOLD Hall of Fame Award winners for 2013, the most prestigious IEEE GOLD Award!
Winners: Tunisia (R8), Nicaragua (R9), and Toronto (R7) GOLD Affinity Groups.
I would like to congratulate all IEEE members in Tunisia, and especially IEEE GOLD members in Tunisia and the GOLD Tunisia affinity group ExCom, for making it this far as well.
A special congratulations goes to my colleague Habib M. Kammoun, who is one of the group founder and was the IEEE GOLD Tunisia AG chair on 2011-2012.
