IDSS: Intelligent Decision Support System Workshop – 2019

IEEE Tunisia Young Professional was honoured to be a sponsor at IDSS: Intelligent Decision Support System Workshop. This is an integral part of our commitment to addressing the needs of IEEE Young Professionals members by providing them access to recent technical content and networking opportunity between members and non-members from different technical and career backgrounds. The event was a good opportunity to bring together practitioners and researchers from both academia and industry. The aim of the workshop was to have a forum for discussion and technical presentations on the recent advances in theory, application and implementation of the Blockchain.

 

Invitation – Intelligent Decision Support System (IDSS) 2019-Blockchain

On behalf of the REGIM-Lab (www.regim.org in collaboration with the University of Sfax, the doctoral school of the National School of Engineers of Sfax (ENIS), the 4C-ENIS center and the science faculty of Sfax (FSS), the IEEE Tunisian Young & Professionals and the three IEEE Tunisian chapters : the Engineering in Medicine and Biology (EMB ), the Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) and the Electronic Design Automation Council (CEDA), it is a pleasure to invite you to participate in the 5th edition of the intelligent Decision Support System (iDSS), Blockchain workshop on 12 and 13 June 2019.
The 5th iDSS workshop is focusing on Blockchain technology. It will be held on June 12, 13, 2019 at the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax (Route Sokra Km 3.5).
The aim of the workshop is to bring together practitioners and researchers from both academia and industry in order to have a forum for discussion and technical presentations on the recent advances in theory, application and implementation of the Blockchain concepts: technologies, protocols, algorithms, services and evaluation experimentation of Blockchain enabling technologies in different applications.

IEEE TUNISIA STEP is a Student Transition and Elevation Program. It is an event aiming to provide a dynamic program for facilitating the transition from being a student to entering the professional world. It supports recently graduated youth, bridging the gap between engineering student and professional engineer. it brings together all members, from recent university graduates to experienced professionals and entrepreneurs, the group presents a great diversity in what it has to offer. it provide a good networking opportunities between members and non-members from different technical and career backgrounds and help also the IEEE Young Professionals to becoming involved in IEEE, experience the community and learn more about the Institute.

We held a “Coffee Talk” event, on Saturday the 13th April at “Ecozone Coworking Space”, Sfax.
The main goal of this event is to introduce the Young Professional to attendees going through its activities, benefits and IEEE resources.

More than 25 attendees were impressed and excited to know more about being an IEEE Young Professional member and how to be it. Professionals who attended, shared their experiences and how their IEEE experience boost their careers and helps them to improve their personal skills. Non members who attended, were more curious about IEEE, how to be a member and get involved in our next activities. Student members who attended, showed motivation to stay in touch with us and to volunteer.
